Karachi: The Sindh High Court has issued a written order to end the encroachments around Al-Asif Square, M Nine.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Nadeem Akhtar issued a written order saying that the district administration must remove all encroachments from the sides of Al-Asif Square within a week.
The High Court order said that the encroachments from Al-Asif Square to the Toll Plaza should be removed within a month and the Rangers and the police should provide full assistance to the administration and the necessary personnel in removing the encroachments.
The order of the High Court has further said that encroachments should be removed and renovation of Soos Road, Green Belt should be done immediately. NHA, FWO take development and renovation of the area.
The court has ordered to clear the service road, green belt and footpath as per the original master plan. In a written order, the court has asked that steps be taken so that encroachment does not occur again.
The court adjourned the hearing till January 11, 2024 while ordering the Deputy Commissioner East, DG Rangers, SSP West, FWO and NH to submit the implementation report.
