Punjab Wildlife had issued a notification allowing hunting from December 1 to January 31. According to the information received from different districts, hunters have already hunted hundreds of pheasants daily, while pictures are also being shared on social media.

According to the notification of Punjab Wildlife, hunters with valid shooting licenses are allowed to hunt pheasants only on Sundays in areas where according to the Punjab Wildlife Survey, there is a significant population of pheasants.

According to the notification, victims were killed in Tehsil Gujar Khan, Taxila, Suhawa, Dina, Choa Saidan Shah, Kallar Kahar, Isa Khel, Bhakkar, Kalorkot, Bahawalnagar and Manchanabad, Fateh Jhang, Hazro, Hasan Abdal, Ahmedpur Sharqia and Hasilpur. will be allowed.

Similarly District, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Chiniot, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujarat/Wazirabad, Hafizabad, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara, Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Multan, Hunting will be allowed in all tehsils of Khanewal, Lodhran, Vehari, Leh, DG Khan, Muzaffargarh and Rajanpur.

However, hunting is prohibited in district Rahim Yar Khan and all its tehsils. Apart from this, pheasant hunting is completely prohibited in Wildlife Reserve Areas, Private Game Reserves, Defense Installation Areas, Buffer Zones, Thal Public Wildlife Reserve Areas and National Parks.

Hunting of black, gray and CC pheasant is permitted under the Wildlife Act/Rules, officials said. Hunting with automatic or service weapons used by Armed Forces, Police, Rangers is not allowed and also use of official vehicle of any force or department for hunting is not allowed.
