Karachi: 11 officials of Sindh Police were dismissed for involvement in organized crime.
According to SSP Kemari Arif Aslam Rao, after a show cause notice, the dismissed officers were inquired by the authorized officer, in which they were found involved in organized crime including drug, gutka mawa sale, smuggling.
He said that decisions were taken after issuing final show-cause notices to the police officers and officials found guilty in the inquiry and hearing them in the orderly room yesterday. 14 police officers and officials appeared in front of him in the orderly room.
Sub-Inspector Mehboob Tanuli and 10 policemen Head Constable Ikramullah, Constable Chanzeb, Constable Jabbar, Constable Sohail, Constable Anil Ali, Constable Zahid Rafiq, Constable Owais, Constable Muhammad Javed, Constable Abdul Majid and Constable Muswar Ali were given jobs on conviction. SSP Arif Aslam Rao said that no police officer or official involved in sponsoring, facilitating and committing crimes will be spared and such elements will face departmental action.
