The intelligence wing of CTD Sindh arrested the leader of the gang involved in kidnapping for ransom.

Karachi: The intelligence wing of CTD Sindh arrested Saad Imran, the leader of the group involved in kidnapping for ransom.

According to CTD, on November 10, CTD Sindh’s intelligence wing team was engaged in an operation in the area in the defense area. They managed to escape.

On November 19, TD Police, acting on a tip-off, arrested 3 accused Muhammad Hasan, Raza and Jawad Wasim. He was handed over to the AVCC police as the case of his kidnapping for ransom was being investigated by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell Unit.

According to CTD spokesman, the arrested suspects are involved in several incidents of short-term kidnapping.

The arrested accused used to take the abducted citizens to hidden areas and after a few hours they would take the kidnapped citizens to the bungalow of Saad Imran, the leader of the group.

The hostages used to storm the bungalows of the citizens and demand money. The arrested accused used to withdraw money from the ATM along with the abducted citizen in the affected areas, after which the abducted citizen used to drive away.

According to the CTD spokesperson, after checking the records, it was found that several cases have been registered against Saad Imran, the leader of the arrested group, in Predi, Boot Basin and Gulberg police stations. Further investigation is being conducted with the arrested accused and more revelations are expected during the investigation.
