Peshawar: A code of conduct has been issued for political parties in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the upcoming elections, applications must be made to the Deputy Commissioner 9 days in advance for meetings, processions and rallies.
A meeting regarding the code of conduct was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Peshawar Muhammad Zubair, in which representatives of all political parties participated.
According to the current code of conduct, political parties will apply to the DC for rallies, processions and rallies 9 days in advance. If the application is rejected, an appeal can be made to the commissioner.
The political parties will submit a surety bond of Rs.5 lakh to the district administration.The use of inflammatory, defamatory, derogatory and communal language in the meetings will be strictly prohibited.
According to the code of conduct, all political parties will hold meetings in daylight, the use of loudspeakers will be limited only to the meeting hall and there will be a ban on putting up posters and banners on any government building.
