California: After testing in 2021, the Google app is testing to introduce the search bar at the bottom of the screen again in Android.
This early stage feature is introduced in Google app 14.48.26.29 beta version where the search bar can be seen with rounded edges. This feature will provide easy access to the search option in large Android devices.
This design is currently released for testing by Google but the blank space at the top in the provided screenshot shows that it is not yet finished. Suggested Actions in this section after completion And the Discover Article options will be moved along with the mini-widgets.
After the update, the ‘Discover’ option will be renamed to ‘Home’.
The Google app will also introduce some minor settings along with it. The new ‘Privacy and Safety’ settings will include Safe Search, Personal Results and Personalization while ‘Other Settings’ will include all other settings.
