Karachi: It has been a week since a one-year-old child of a family who came to Karachi for employment was kidnapped from Karachi, which the police is still unable to recover.

On November 20, 2023, the accused abducted a one-year-old child Hussain from House No. 7, Street No. 23, Qayyumabad B Area, on November 20, 2023, after which on November 21, the father of the abductee, Mohammad Rashid, son of Ashiq Hussain, took him to the Defense Police Station. Filed a report.

In his statement to the police, Mohammad Rashid said that on November 20, when I came home at around 1:30, the family members told me that Hussain’s cousin Rabia, the 5-year-old daughter of Muhammad Akram, who picked up the one-year-old Hussain, was playing in the street outside the house. Then Rabia told that around one o’clock a man came on a rickshaw and snatched the child from me and ran away.

According to the father of the abducted child, nothing has been found so far despite a lot of searching and information on his own. The girl Rabia said that there was a woman with the rickshaw puller who snatched the child from me.

ASI Shahid Ahmed, the duty officer of the Defense Police Station, after recording the statement, filed a case under Section 364/34 of the Criminal Code No. 688/2023 and handed over the investigation of the case to the Investigation Department of the Defense Police Station. According to the police regulations. The abduction investigation is transferred to the Anti-Violent Crime Cell, but the investigation of hostage Hussain is still with the investigation department of the Defense Police Station, which is a surprising thing.

Mohammad Rashid, the father of the abducted child, told Express that I had 3 children, out of which 2 died and the third was abducted. They go to the police station every day, sit for a while and come back. The police have not been able to do anything so far.

Mughvi Hussain’s grandmother Kulsoom told Express that she has 4 sons and a daughter. Due to severe inflation, domestic problems began to increase, due to which she moved from her native Bahawalpur to Karachi along with her 2 sons. Muhammad Rashid works as a garbage collector. He has demanded the Chief Minister, Governor, IG Sindh and other high authorities to issue orders to recover my grandson so that I can go back to my native area along with my children.
