Peshawar: The Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court has remarked during the hearing of the case that it is true that the police are recruited for money.
The case of torture on the retired SI of SP Training was heard by a 2-member bench of Peshawar High Court consisting of Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Justice Waqar Ahmed, in which SP Training, retired SI and their lawyers appeared in the court. .
During the hearing, SP’s counsel told the court that a baseless FIR has been lodged against my client, he did not commit violence.
The lawyer of the retired SI told the court in his arguments that the SP training subjected my client to the worst torture by making him sit in the car.
The Chief Justice inquired that what is the dispute between the two of you? On which the retired SI told the court that SP Training and other officers have embezzled crores of rupees. I have evidence that there have been irregularities. Recruitments are done for money.
Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan remarked that it is true that recruitment in the police is done for money. In my house also 4 out of 5 police officers are hired on money. If you had given him your share, the problem would have ended, he might have asked you for his share and you hit him.
SP Training said that there was no embezzlement and we did not commit violence, to which the retired SI asked to see the medical report. I can also see marks on my body.
The Chief Justice said that we give you a chance to solve this matter yourself. If both of them do not reconcile mutually, then the court will decide. Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case.
