In Chowhang area of Lahore, maternal uncle opened fire and killed a medical student to save the young driver.
According to the details, a shocking incident of murder took place a week ago in a private housing society in Chowhang area of Lahore, in which a student of Saudi Pulat Medical School was killed by her uncle’s firing while trying to save a young driver.
The family was fired upon for not allowing the vehicle to drive zigzag
In the FIR filed on behalf of the family, it has been stated that the accused opened fire when they were forbidden to drive a zig-zag vehicle in a private housing society. Abdul Rahman, a young driver, hit another vehicle while driving a zig-zag vehicle.
According to the FIR, Abdul Rehman, a young driver, after hitting the other vehicle, called his uncle and others who opened fire on the car. After that, he died in the hospital.
Two suspects arrested, three fugitives and weapons recovered
It is written in the FIR that the police arrested two accused and recovered the pistol while three accused are still absconding.
Appeal to the caretaker Chief Minister for protection of the victim’s family
The family of the student of the medical college had moved from Saudi Arabia to Lahore for her daughter’s education. And they are trying to reconcile by harassing.
The family maintained that the medical student had died two weeks before the shooting.
Chief Minister’s notice, report sought from IA, protection directive
On the other hand, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, taking strict notice of the murder of a medical student and harassment of her family in Chohang police station, sought a report from IG Punjab. The Chief Minister directed that legal action should be taken against the accused without discrimination. The absconding accused, including the main accused, should be brought to justice soon and full protection should be provided to the oppressed family.
Mohsin Naqvi said that all the requirements of justice should be fulfilled and a comprehensive investigation of all the incidents should be done and a report should be submitted. The Chief Minister directed the IG to take action against the concerned police for their negligence while justice should be ensured to the victim’s family at all costs.
