California: It’s been more than five months since the launch of social media platform Threads by technology company Meta, but users seem to be increasingly frustrated with the new app rather than enjoying it.
It has been observed by Instagram users that Instagram is issuing rich notifications of threads to bring them to the new app. Many users are receiving these notification threads even after deleting their account.
Disgruntled users took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to pile up complaints about the threads.
One user tweeted that Meta is trying to pull Instagram users into threads.
Another user said: ‘Instagram, please stop sending me thread notifications.’
A user said that Threads notifications are now coming to accounts linked to Instagram. Is there a way to disable a threads account?
Another user described Threads as an abject failure.
One user said ‘Why does meta Instagram want to pull users into threads? I don’t want threads notification on Instagram.
It should be noted that Meta launched Threads in competition with X.
