Karachi: In various operations of ANF, one ton of 364 kg of drugs has been recovered and the accused have been arrested.
According to the spokesperson of the Anti-Narcotics Force, 8 suspects have been arrested after recovering a huge quantity of drugs during 9 different operations.
7 kg hashish was recovered from the parcel sent from Quetta at Jinnah International Airport Karachi. Apart from this, one kilogram of 593 grams of ice was recovered from the passenger’s trolley bag at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar. The accused was leaving for Qatar by flight number QR-601.
Meanwhile, 792 grams of heroin was recovered from a parcel booked for Great Britain at the courier office in Lahore. Meanwhile, 36 kg of opium and 28 kg of 800 grams of hashish were recovered from a vehicle near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad. 2 suspects have been arrested during the operation.
Apart from this, 18 kg of opium and 12 kg of hashish were recovered from a truck near Sangjani Toll Plaza Islamabad and 2 suspects were arrested. 4 kg 800 grams of hashish and 1 kg of ice were recovered from the vehicle near Shershah Toll Plaza Multan and the accused was taken into custody. 2 kg 400 grams of hashish was recovered from the accused near Wahari Chowk Multan. During an operation in Dera Ghazi Khan, 970 grams of ice was recovered from the accused in a passenger bus.
Meanwhile, 520 kilos of opium, 80 kilos of heroin and 650 kilos of hashish, which were concealed for the purpose of smuggling, were recovered from Kali Pani Many in Pashin area.
According to the spokesman, cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against all the suspects arrested during the operations and further investigations have been started.
