Karachi: Three policemen, including a sub-inspector, were detained for harassing legally resident foreigners in the eastern district of Shahr Quaid.
There was an incident of harassment of registered foreigners on social media in Karachi, the video of which also went viral. SSP East Irfan Ali Bahadur took notice of the video and issued strict orders.
On the orders of SSP East, a case was registered against three policemen, including a sub-inspector, in the Sait Superhighway police station and all three were arrested, while the fourth sub-inspector escaped.
According to the police, the arrested officials include Didar, Allah Bakhsh and Anwar.
The video of police harassment and injustice to registered foreigners went viral, no policeman or officer will ever be allowed to harass any citizen or foreigner.
