Karachi: The Sindh government has appointed Garhad 20 Commerce Professor Saleh Abbas as the Director General Colleges Sindh, the notification of his appointment has been issued by the Chief Secretary Sindh.
Director General Colleges Sindh Professor Saleh Abbas was appointed as the Principal of Government SM Arts and Commerce College, now Prof. Abdul Bari Andar, who is awaiting appointment, has been appointed as the Principal of SM Arts and Commerce College.
It should be noted that the post of Director General Colleges was vacant for the last two months because caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Rtd) Maqbool Baqir suspended the former Director Colleges Professor Shadab on the occasion of a college visit.
It should be noted that Prof. Saleh Abbas has been appointed as Director General Colleges Sindh at a time when the colleges of Sindh including Karachi are facing serious challenges on academic and administrative basis.
These challenges have become more apparent since caretaker Chief Minister Sindh’s surprise visits to colleges and based on the criteria, the College Education Department itself has divided the colleges into three categories, with 88 colleges in Karachi in the most ineffective category of this division. have been counted.
Meanwhile, University of Karachi Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Iraqi has nominated Professor Nusrat Idris as a member of the university’s syndicate. He has been nominated to the post of principal of the affiliated colleges. The latter is appointed Rector/Principal in the affiliated institution Awaaz Institute of Media and Management Sciences.
