Sindh IG and Karachi Police Chief helpless in front of police officers involved in robberies

Karachi: IG Sindh and Karachi Police Chief were helpless in front of the under-training police officers who were allegedly involved in the house robbery incident in Orangi Town.

No action has yet been taken against the police officers and officials allegedly involved in the robbery incident, the victim was put under intense pressure not to file an FIR, after which the victim was forced to withdraw his request.

IG Sindh once again took notice of the incident of robbery and appointed DIG West as inquiry officer and asked for a report based on impartial investigation of the incident within 24 hours.

According to the details, despite the passage of more than 36 hours, no action could be taken against the police officers and officials allegedly involved in the robbery incident at a house in Orangi Town Sector 5 within the limits of Pirabad police station on Saturday night.

According to the sources, despite the notice of IG Sindh, Karachi Police Chief could not take any action against the involved police officers and personnel, in the initial investigation of the police, the District South Police Party was identified.

Evidence of the involvement of District South under-training DSP Umeer Tariq Bajari was found in the house, the police mobile and double-cabin vehicle belonging to the under-training DSP squad were found in the incident.

The police were helped by the CCTV footages of the police mobile and other vehicles while escaping, the special party of the under-training DSP has been involved in illegal raids in the defense in the past as well.

Under-training DSP Umeer Tariq Bajari was contacted several times by Express News and given an opportunity to give his stand but Umeer Tariq Bajari was not available to give his stand.

The victim informed that they have recovered 50% of the looted money, gold jewellery, mobile phones and laptops, after which the victim backed away from filing an FIR.

According to the sources, the affected citizen has been strongly pressured not to file an FIR and after threats of serious consequences, the affected citizen was forced to withdraw his request.

According to police sources, the plaintiff has contacted to withdraw his request. The victim citizen does not want to file a case on getting back the stolen money, gold ornaments and mobile phones, but till now the victim citizen has not come to the police station to withdraw his request.

On the other hand, IG Sindh Rafat Mukhtarraja once took notice of the incident of robbery in a house located in Orangi Town Sector 5Y and appointed DIG West as the inquiry officer. Further necessary steps should be sent to them.
