Islamabad / Ankara: Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Ankara on a two-day official visit, where he met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace and said that he will not rest until the last person in the earthquake-affected areas is completely restored.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif reached Ankara to express solidarity with the earthquake victims of Turkey and to visit the earthquake affected areas. The prime minister was received by senior Turkish officials and Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkey, Dr. Yusuf Junaid, at the Ankara airport.
In his meeting with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Prime Minister mentioned Pakistan-Turkey relations and said that the people of Pakistan have felt the pain and anguish like their Turkish brothers and sisters. The Prime Minister further said that the people of Pakistan will not rest until the last person in the earthquake-affected areas is completely rehabilitated.
President Erdogan thanked the Prime Minister for Pakistan’s help and support to Turkey in the wake of the devastating earthquake. He reiterated that the nation of Turkey will emerge stronger and more determined from the devastation caused by this natural disaster.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik are also accompanying the Prime Minister.#PakistanStandsWithTürkiye

Later, the Prime Minister reached the Presidential Palace where he met the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences to the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the loss of life and property as a result of the earthquake and expressed his solidarity with the Turkish people.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and Chairman NDMA Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik.
Earlier, in a statement issued by the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, it was stated that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif along with his delegation will be in Turkey on February 16 and 17 to express solidarity with the Turkish people in the terrible earthquake that hit Turkey on February 6.
The Foreign Office statement said that the Prime Minister will meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and express his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Pakistani nation for the loss of precious lives and massive damage caused by the earthquake.
Apart from this, the prime minister will visit the affected areas of southern Turkey where he will also meet with the Pakistani rescue teams participating in the relief work.
