Islamabad: Caretaker Religious Affairs Minister Aneeq Ahmed will announce the Hajj Policy 2024 today.

Yesterday, the Federal Cabinet approved the amendments in the Hajj Policy 2024, under which 179,210 Pakistanis will be blessed with Hajj in 2024.

Under the Hajj policy, the unused sponsorship quota of public and private schemes will be returned to the Government of Saudi Arabia. Implementation of a foolproof monitoring system regarding the financial arrangements of Hajj groups organizers will be implemented.

In the new Hajj policy, the reservations of the Hajj organizer companies have been removed, according to which even children under 10 years of age will be able to perform the Hajj duty.

In private Hajj schemes, the requirement of accompanying attendants will be relaxed for persons above 80 years of age.

The Hajj Group Organizers will enter into an agreement with the Hajj to hire local assistants during their stay in Saudi Arabia. Hajj group organizer can be fined and blacklisted for violation of this point.

According to the new policy, the hardship Hajj quota is being reduced. 50% of the quota of local assistants will be allocated for Pakistani students who are studying in local universities in Saudi Arabia, these students will be posted as welfare staff.
