California: Video and photo sharing platform Instagram has introduced a feature to limit your post to close friends.
Previously, Instagram users could only share stories and notes with close friends, but the feature is expected to change the way Instagram is used by adding Posts and Reels.
After this feature, since users will now have the option to not share their post with all followers and other users will be able to do the same, general posts on Instagram feed will be visible to close acquaintances.
Users will see a green star next to their close friends’ accounts, and this green list can be expanded to Rails to make the app more private.
To limit your post or reel to close friends, users have to select the Audience option while sharing the post, then select the ‘Close Friend’ option, then press the Done button and then share the post.
After selecting the option, only the user’s closest friends will be able to see the photo, video or reels and a green star will appear on the posts indicating that the post has been shared with the people on the list. .
