Lahore: Motorway police recovered heroin worth more than 7 crores from the car and arrested two accused.
According to the spokesperson of the Motorway Police, Anti-Narcotics Force Faisalabad had given information about drug trafficking to the Motorway Police.
Highway Police DSP Khurram Shah and Patrolling Officer Imran Tabasim signaled the suspect car to stop near Sial Mor, but instead of stopping, the driver accelerated and tried to escape.
Motorway police chased the car and foiled the attempt to escape, the two accused in the car left the car and ran towards the fields, but the patrolling officers chased and arrested the two accused. Asatam Khan and Siddiq Akbar are among the arrested smugglers.
According to the spokesperson of the Motorway Police, after searching the car, 7 kg 795 grams of high quality heroin was recovered, which is worth more than 7 crore rupees in the international market.
Motorway Police handed over the arrested accused, the recovered heroin and the car to ADANF, Faisalabad after legal action.
