Islamabad: Chief of Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu awarded the Hilal Imtiaz (Military) honor to China’s Director General Bureau of Military Equipment Technical Cooperation (BOMETEC) General Fan Jianjin on behalf of the Government of Pakistan.
During a visit to Air Headquarters Islamabad, General Fan was given this award in recognition of his efforts and high performance in developing the Pakistan Air Force on modern lines as well as increasing operational capabilities.
General Fan Jianjin met the Air Chief in his office and discussed regional developments including important issues of mutual interest. The Chief of Pakistan Air Force mentioned the broad plans of his vision to further improve the modern operational capability of the Pakistan Air Force and to develop the Pakistan Air Force on modern lines, the promotion of the existing operational capabilities and in accordance with the modern military principles, especially. He highlighted the ongoing projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, cyber and space.
The Air Chief also highlighted the historical and unprecedented strategic partnership between the two countries. He also reiterated his commitment to further promote bilateral relations between Pakistan Air Force and People’s Liberation Army Air Force in the fields of military cooperation and training.
The Pakistan Air Force Chief further said that “Pakistan values its strong diplomatic, economic, defense relations and everlasting friendship with China and these relations are based on coordination in all important matters related to regional peace, security and stability.” “
General Fan Jianjin thanked the Air Chief and the Government of Pakistan for being awarded the Hilal Imtiaz (Military) and expressed the hope that the cooperation between the air forces of the two countries will continue in the future.
