Lahore: In the capital of Punjab, an influential citizen involved in electricity theft fired a Kalashnikov at WASA employees.
According to the details, on the instructions of MD WASA Ghafran Ahmed, the officers of WASA are conducting a grand operation against the elements involved in non-payment of dues and electricity theft.
When Inspector Naveed Khan of Tajpura sub-division arrived to disconnect the sewerage connection of the defaulter property, the armed man created a ruckus and threatened to kill him by brandishing a knife.
The person holding the Kalashnikov addressed the Vasa officer and said, “You are becoming more loyal to the Shah than the Shah. If I kill you, you are not worth a penny. You do not know what I can do.” I am’.
On the other hand, MD Wasa Ghafran Ahmed took notice of the incident and directed strict action against the accused. On which Deputy Director Aziz Bhatti Wagah Town, Malik Asif applied to SHO Garhi Shahu to take action against the accused.
MD Vasa has given orders to all the towns that no interference in the government will be tolerated. Riots on defaulter’s property, those who interfere in the functioning of the government should be brought to book.
He said that this grand operation will continue till the recovery of the last rupee and we will not tolerate pressure from anyone.
