Matriculation Board: Mark sheet stopped due to change of results of 8 thousand students

Karachi: The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has declared the results of at least 8 thousand students of the annual examinations 2023 held for the second year of matric as doubtful and the release of the mark sheets with the relevant 8 thousand roll numbers has been stopped by the director of examinations, Khalid Ehsan. Is.

It should be noted that a three-member investigation committee was set up by the Chairman Board on the report of tampering in the examination results.

The chairman board was informed that the marks sheets of 8000 roll numbers withheld have been changed in mathematics subject in all those roll numbers and these results are separately on the examination copies and award list.

The chairman board was informed that an IT company is also involved in the manipulation of results which provides IT support to the board in preparation of results and collects monthly service charges.

It is being told that on the basis of the available evidence, the inquiry committee will recommend to the Chairman Matriculation Board in its report that the results of these 8000 roll numbers should be canceled and their results should be restored to the original marks given on the copies.

It should be noted that if the chairman board approves the report of the said investigation committee, in such a case, most of the students will participate in the supplementary examinations due to failure and their admissions to the first inter-year colleges will also be cancelled. Students with these 8000 roll numbers have passed the exam in A1 and A grades.

Also, according to the Chairman Matriculation Board, he has been verbally informed in this regard at present when the written report will be submitted as soon as a decision can be taken in this regard.
