Lahore: Relatives of an injured patient opened fire at Mayo Hospital, causing a stampede and panic at the emergency room.
Hospital security and police took action and arrested the accused.
According to police, the 45-year-old victim was taken to Mayo Hospital after being shot. The injured’s younger brother opened fire in the air to create chaos in the hospital.
CEO Mayo Hospital Dr. Haroon Hamid said that the two suspects who opened fire were arrested by the police. The accused were shifted to Gwalmandi police station.
The name of the injured is Zahid alias Golden Butt. He underwent surgery and is undergoing treatment. The security supervisor said that 30 to 40 people came to the hospital with the injured citizen. The aggressor was the brother of the injured.
The accused quarreled with the security guard and tore his uniform. Security Supervisor Mohammad Khan applied to DMS to take action against the accused.
