Lahore: After the recent rains, the air quality index in Lahore came down considerably, on which the citizens breathed a sigh of relief.

The Environment Protection Department of Punjab has released the Air Quality Index according to which AQI was recorded at 184 at Lahore College for Women University while Air Quality Index was recorded at 167 at Shaheen Wells Phase Two and Lahore Faisalabad Bypass Road Sheikhupura.

An AQI of 161 was recorded at Town Hall Lahore, 121 at Punjab University Lahore College of Earth and Environmental Sciences and 97 at Shale Valley Range Road Rawalpindi.

This data is compiled based on the last 24 hours.

On the other hand, in the list of the most polluted cities in the world, Karachi was recorded at the second place and Lahore at the fourth place.
