IG Punjab directed to speed up evacuation of illegal immigrants: Photo: File
The evacuation of illegal immigrants has reduced in Punjab. During the last 10 days, 505 illegal immigrants were deported.
According to police officials, the number of immigrants in Punjab is more than 80 thousand while 45 thousand have PRO cards and other resident cards. Action against undocumented illegal immigrants is ongoing.
IG Punjab reprimanded the officers for the slow process of evacuation of illegal immigrants and directed all officers including CCPO Lahore to speed up the operation and ordered to send reports to the IG office on a daily basis.
