Lahore: The video of violence against a senior citizen over a property dispute in a mosque went viral.
According to the police, the incident of violence in the mosque took place in the limits of Gulshan Iqbal police station, where some people tortured an elderly person who came to pray in the mosque. A CCTV video of the incident has surfaced, in which it can be seen that the senior citizen Ejaz was attacked by a youth as soon as he started to pray.
In the footage, youths named Chaudhry Gauhar and Chaudhry Faisal can be seen slapping and punching the senior citizen, while the senior citizen’s son Abrar, who is nearby, intervenes to save his father. They are also subjected to torture, while in the meantime, more companions of the attacker also reach the mosque and start the torture.
Three persons together tortured the elderly citizen Ijaz and his son Abrar in the mosque, while the son Abrar suffered a head injury and injuries on other parts of his body. The police have started action against the accused on the request and raids are underway to arrest them.
