Rawalpindi: The court sentenced the person who desecrated the Holy Quran to life imprisonment.
A case of desecration of the pages of the Holy Quran was heard in the local court of Rawalpindi. Additional District and Sessions Judge Raja Faisal Rasheed sentenced the accused on conviction.
On March 14, 2023, the Ratta Amaral police registered a case of insulting the Holy Quran against the criminal Muhammad Javed.
The court said in its decision that no concession can be given to the criminals in such a crime. After being sentenced by the court, the criminal was shifted to Adiala Jail.
Javed was given ample opportunity to present his justification during the court trial for which he also hired lawyers, but he failed to prove himself innocent before the court.
