Tourists will also get e-ticketing facility for Safari Zoo
Lahore: It has been decided to close the Safari Zoo in the provincial capital for 3 months for world-class upgradation.
According to Express News, it has been decided to close the Safari Zoo Raiwind Road Lahore for the next three months from November 10 due to the start of construction work on the initial phase of the international up-gradation project.
According to Project Director Implementation of Master Plan of Safari Zoo Lahore Mudassir Hasan, under the project, 11 new wild animals of different species of elephant, rhinoceros, giraffe, black jaguar, arex, addex, zebra, adreyal, ostrich, Nile will be introduced in the safari zoo. Cows and Chetal deer will be brought in, for which special enclosures and houses will be built. Wild animals living in existing enclosures will also be relocated.
Apart from this, the construction of African Safari, Desert Safari and Salt Range is also included in the plan, while night safari will also be provided to the tourists. A magnificent aquarium will also be built in the Safari Zoo for 142 species of aquatic life. Tourists will also get e-ticketing facility for Safari Zoo.
He said that there will be a large-scale construction work for the provision of facilities, so for the timely and efficient execution of these development works, it has been decided to keep the Safari Zoo closed for the next 3 months from November 10, 2023. We apologize for the temporary closure to all our patrons, tourists, wildlife enthusiasts, students and general citizens who will not be able to access this facility for a short period of time for their recreational, educational and research purposes.
The project director said that we assure all our guests that the project management will devote their days and nights to complete the project within the stipulated time and make it available to tourists again.
It should be noted that Lahore Zoo has also been closed for 3 months where work is being done on the transfer of animals and birds.
