Karachi: In Karachi, the police arrested 3 suspects involved in the murder, including the young daughter of a Navy officer.
Korangi Industrial Area Investigation Police arrested 3 suspects involved in the murder of father and young daughter and recovered the murder weapon (pistol).
According to the spokesman, the arrested accused include Tariq alias Karila, Farooq and Zohaib, who on September 24, 2023, killed his 2-year-old daughter during a robbery near Chamda Chowrangi ADM Company in Korangi Industrial Area. Anam was shot and killed.
According to the police, 6 robbers on 3 motorcycles were committing an offense on the service road, one of them was caught by Navy officer Tahir, on whom his colleagues started firing. Tahir Zaman and his 2-year-old daughter Anam were killed by the bullet.
The arrested 2 suspects belong to Sindh and the third suspect belongs to South Punjab, who used to come to Karachi for street crime incidents and return back after committing incidents for a few days. Raids are on to search for 3 more accomplices of the arrested accused.
Tahir Zaman, his wife and 2 children were riding a motorcycle at the time of the incident of resistance during the robbery. The victim’s young son and his wife were safe from the robbers’ firing.
According to the police, 2 armed robbers were robbing a citizen of 4 lakh rupees while their 4 accomplices were standing far away. Nearby, Tahir Zaman had parked his motorcycle and his wife was feeding her son from a feeder. Tahir Zaman had bravely caught an accused who was fired upon by his other associates, who As a result, Tahir Zaman and young Anam Gul became the target of bullets.
During the investigation, an accused Tariq alias Karila was arrested from Bagh Korangi. A case of murder of father and daughter was registered at Korangi Industrial Area Police Station.
It should be noted that during this year, the number of people who were killed due to robbery has reached 115.
