Rawalpindi: In Wadi Tirah district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four soldiers including a lieutenant colonel were martyred while three terrorists were also killed in an exchange of fire with terrorists.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), on the night of November 6, the security forces conducted an operation in the Tirah Valley on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists.

During the operation, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists, in which the leader, 43-year-old Lt. Col. Muhammad Hassan Haider, was martyred.

Naik Khush Dil Khan, Rafiq Khan, Lance Naik Abdul Qadir also lost their lives in the exchange of fire with the terrorists.

According to ISPR, three terrorists were killed and three were injured in firing by security forces.

According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Army, the operation is going on to wipe out the remaining terrorists in the area. A statement issued by ISPR said that the security forces are committed to root out the menace of terrorism from Pakistan and the sacrifices of the brave jawans strengthen this resolve.

Funeral prayer

The funeral prayers of four soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel, who were martyred in Tirah Valley, were offered at Peshawar Cantonment, after which the bodies of the martyrs were sent to their areas where the martyrs will be buried with full military honours.
