Karachi: 41 valuable parrots worth more than 2 million rupees were stolen from the house of a retired DIG in Gulshan Mimar, the police started investigation after collecting the evidence.
According to Express, 41 valuable parrots worth lakhs of rupees were stolen from the house of retired DIG Raja Mumtaz living in Gulshan Mimar Sector V2 house number A67. The Crime Scene Unit was called.
According to SHO Gulshan Architect Waqar Qaiser, retired DIG Raja Mumtaz kept precious parrots in cages on the roof of his house. The theft of parrots was carried out between 20 am and 20 pairs of parrots and a single parrot, all of which are worth more than 2 million rupees.
The SHO said that the initial investigation revealed that the accused climbed onto the roof through a pipe from the rear of another house adjacent to the house of the retired DIG and stole valuable parrots and escaped. I was the only accused involved who happily carried out the crime late at night.
He said that there are no CCTV cameras installed on the roof of Raja Mumtaz’s house, but the footages are being obtained from the locality and progress will be revealed soon in the investigation.
