Peshawar: After the efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and law enforcement agencies and the Jirgas held at the official level, the situation in Karam district started to return to normal.
In district Karam, a fierce armed conflict was going on for the last several days between the tribes over the land dispute, during which 26 people from both sides were killed and many were injured, during which property was also damaged.
In order to improve the law and order situation, the government had closed all the roads for traffic and increased the security presence at the entrance and exit gates and also increased the patrolling of the officials in the area.
Now, according to the announcement made by the government spokesperson, the situation in Karam district is improving with the efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and law enforcement agencies.
Since last one week, several Jirgas have been held in Karam with the efforts of the government in which regional leaders, government and law enforcement officials participated, thanks to these efforts, peace is returning to the area.
According to the spokesman, the government is trying its best to bring life back to normal by opening all the closed roads for the next one or two days after the situation improves, so that the delivery of food, medicine and other essential items can be ensured.
The government spokesperson said that the government has formed a special land commission on the district Kuram land dispute, the work of which is about to be completed. Tribal elders on both sides, including the Kohat Jirga, played an exemplary role in maintaining peace and order.
The spokesman claimed that evil elements want the situation of Karam to remain bad but they will not be able to succeed and the situation will improve. So far 25 people have lost their lives in this fight between the clans. Both sides have agreed to vacate the bunkers in a phased manner.
It has been said by the government that the life of the common man has been affected in this fight between the miscreants. The government is trying hard to make the common man normal.
