7 tons of hashish recovered from a truck coming from Quetta to Karachi

Karachi: During an operation on the Superhighway, the Anti-Narcotics Force recovered more than 7 tons of hashish from a truck full of pomegranates coming from Quetta to Karachi.

According to the spokesperson of ANF, operations against drug trafficking are continuing, in this connection, an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of hashish from Quetta to Karachi was foiled.

According to the spokesman, 306 kg of hashish was recovered in this operation on the Karachi Superhighway, which was hidden in a truck full of pomegranates. In this operation, the accused was arrested on the spot.

On the other hand, in another operation, 57 kg of hashish hidden in RCD highway Perturk was recovered. During the operation, the accused resident of Hub was arrested.

Similarly, capsules filled with 214 grams of ice were recovered from the stomach of a passenger at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport.

During another operation at Lahore Airport itself, 2 kg 476 grams of ice was recovered from the passenger’s trolley bag.

During the operation at Multan Airport, the ANF personnel recovered 100 grams of narcotic pills from the trolley bag of the accused, a resident of Muzaffargarh, while during the operation near Islamabad Motorway, 4 kg 800 grams of hashish was recovered from the accused, which was being smuggled in the vehicle. In the said action, the accused resident of Peshawar was arrested.

Rawalpindi 26 No. Chongi, in the second operation, 7 kg 200 grams of hashish was recovered from the vehicle. During the operation, the accused, a resident of Nowshera, was arrested.

Meanwhile, 12 kg of opium and 60 kg of hashish were recovered from the secret compartments of the vehicle on GT Road, Nowshera, and 3 suspects, residents of Mianwali and Chiniot, Nowshera, were arrested.

Also, 1 kg 50 grams of heroin was recovered during a house raid in DHA Phase 3, Lahore.

According to the spokesperson of ANF, investigations have been started by registering cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against all the accused.
