Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu criticized his security forces in a statement on social media for failing to stop the Hamas attack, but deleted the tweet a few hours later apologizing.

According to the international news agency, the Israeli Prime Minister on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) blamed the country’s intelligence and armed forces for the October 7 attack by Hamas.

In his tweet, Netanyahu acknowledged the failure of the armed forces and wrote that it was the failure of the intelligence and defense forces that would have borne the brunt of the public. He had also hinted at a strict crackdown on the security establishment.

However, the Israeli Prime Minister withdrew from his statement and Baz Pers’ commitment just a few hours later and deleted the tweet and apologized to the army chiefs in a new tweet.

Netanyahu wrote in his new tweet that I was wrong in this matter, I should not have said that. I apologize for my words and fully support all the heads of security agencies.
