New Delhi: India’s ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has created groups on social media to promote Islamophobia.
After the action of Hamas on October 7, along with Israel’s attacks on Gaza, the Indian government started spewing poison against Muslims. The Modi government announced its support for Israel, the killer of Palestinians, and started claiming to destroy Palestine and Muslims.
According to the Arab channel Al Jazeera, India is the leader in spreading false information and false propaganda about Hamas and Israel.
BJP has started creating and sharing fake propaganda and false content against Muslims by creating regular groups on social media. WhatsApp and Facebook groups sponsored by the Modi government are sharing and spreading false content to portray Israel as oppressed and Muslims as oppressors.
The Indian website says that more than 13 Hindutva groups on Facebook and WhatsApp are currently gaining popularity in India with the sole aim of fueling Islamophobia. The Modi government is also running a campaign on social media in which the Israelis are portrayed as innocent and it is said that even in occupied Kashmir, Hindus are suffering from such atrocities at the hands of Muslims.
False threats of attack by Muslims are also being spread on social media groups to anger the Indian people.
