The accused were operating currency exchange without a license
Peshawar: The Federal Investigation Agency arrested 2 persons and recovered a large amount of money during the operations against the reference handi.
FIA Commercial Banking Circle Peshawar arrested 2 operatives of the gang involved in reference handi in an operation. During the raid, one crore 62 lakh 50 thousand rupees were recovered from the arrested accused Habibullah and Muhammad Ajmal.
The accused arrested from Haji Camp, GT Road Peshawar were running money changer business without license. Receipts related to reference handi have also been recovered from the accused. The accused could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency.
According to the FIA spokesperson, a case has been registered against the accused and raids are being conducted to arrest other accused.
