Rawalpindi: The Lahore High Court expressed its displeasure over the non-appearance of the legal advisor of the Waqf Abandoned Property Department in the Lal Haveli ownership case and said that here people disappear and then come back and say that they themselves had gone somewhere.
According to Express News, the Lal Haveli ownership dispute case was heard in the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court, which is related to sealing the Lal Haveli and canceling the ownership registry. The hearing was conducted by High Court Rawalpindi Bench Judge Justice Mirza Waqas Rauf.
During the hearing, the legal advisor of the Waqf Abandoned Property Department did not appear, on which the court expressed strong displeasure. The court said that the hearing is being adjourned till October 30, if the legal advisor does not come on the next date, I will take a decision according to the record.
The court said that people disappear here and then come and say that they had gone somewhere.
The court asked the Additional Attorney General that now the situation is changing with each passing day, are you also waiting for new instructions on the hotline? The petitioner’s lawyer said that this is a delaying tactic. Sheikh Rasheed’s lawyers have completed their arguments.
