Lahore: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi approved the construction of another big heart hospital in Lahore to reduce the rush of cardiac patients in PIC.
Jinnah Institute of Cardiology will be built in place of Jinnah Hospital Emergency and Trauma Center project.
Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi made a detailed inspection of the under-construction project site and said that the Emergency and Trauma Center will be shifted to Jinnah Hospital. He ordered the foundation of the building to be completed by the middle of next month.
Secretary Construction and Communications gave a briefing about the construction work on Manso Bay, in which it was stated that the building of Jinnah Institute of Cardiology will have 7 floors and the number of beds will be 250. There will be a big heart hospital.
Provincial Ministers Dr. Javed Akram, Aamir Mir, Secretaries Health, Construction and Communication, Special Secretary Health, Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College, MS Jinnah Hospital and related officials were also present on the occasion.
