Peshawar: PTI’s former Deputy Speaker Mehmood Jan was handed over to the police on physical remand in the murder case.
Former Deputy Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mehmood Jan, who was arrested on the charge of murder, was presented in the Anti-Terrorism Court, where the court approved a 2-day physical remand on the request of the police.
During the hearing, the investigating officer told the court that Mehmood Jan is accused of killing one person and injuring another over a property dispute. A case of murder and attempted murder has been registered against the accused in Regi police station, the accused needs to be interrogated so physical remand should be given.
The court handed over the accused to the police on 2-day physical remand for investigation.
