New Delhi: In India, a 24-year-old boy strangled his girlfriend with a data cable and put her body in a freezer after refusing to marry another girl.
According to Indian media, the body of a young girl was found in the freezer of a small hotel room in the suburbs of the capital New Delhi. He was identified as 22-year-old Nikki Yadav from Haryana.
The police arrested 24-year-old Sahil Gehlot, the owner of the hotel, who was married three or four days ago. The accused confessed to the murder and made shocking revelations about it.
According to the statement of the accused, Nikki Yadav and he knew each other since 2018. The two met in a coaching center to prepare for the exams and then started living together.
During this time, the relationship between the two developed. Young Sahil had not told his family about this relationship till now. Her parents also liked the girl in the community and were insisting on the marriage.
On the other hand, Nikki Yadav insisted that she marry him and tell her parents everything. Bitterness grew between the two on this and Sahil Gehlot killed Niki Yadav.
The accused also revealed that he killed Niki Yadav on his wedding day and after hiding the body, he went straight to the wedding hall. He did not get a chance to dispose of the dead body due to his wedding commitments.
Police say the murder was reported by informers. After the body was recovered from the hotel, Sahil raided Gehlot’s house but he was not there and his number was switched off.
The police chased the accused and arrested him from the central area of Delhi on the information of the informers.
