Karachi: One more person lost his life due to the deadly brain-eating bacteria Nigleria, the Sindh Health Department has confirmed the seventh death due to Nigleria foleri this year.
According to the details, Adnan Tariq, a resident of North Karachi, lost his life after being affected by Nagliria foleri. The 45-year-old man was a shopkeeper in Denso Hall Sadar. The victim started showing symptoms from October 18, while he was admitted to the hospital on October 19. had gone.
According to the deceased’s brother, Adnan Tariq was fine till October 18. On Wednesday night, he developed fever for which he took medicine but did not get relief. From October 19 to 20, the patient was admitted to the intensive care unit of Aga Khan Hospital, Karachi.
Adnan Tariq was shifted to ventilator as his condition worsened, the patient died on October 21, Aga Khan University Hospital diagnosed Nigellaria folarii in the patient.
The victim had symptoms of fever, vomiting, paralysis and stroke, according to medical experts, the symptoms of Naegleria fowleri include headache, fever, nausea, vomiting, neck stiffness, altered mental status and seizures.
