New York: Former US President Donald Trump was fined $5,000 for not fully complying with the court order in the civil fraud case and warned that if this happens in the future, he will be sent to jail.
According to the world news agency, American judge Arthur Engron ordered the 77-year-old former president Donald Trump to pay the fine to the “New York Lawyers Fund for Client Protection” within 10 days.
The New York court warned the former US president not to make any mistake in submitting the fine. If the court order is violated again in the future, whether intentionally or unintentionally, they will be sent to jail.
Judge Arthur Engron added that if it happened again, Donald Trump would not only be charged with contempt of court, which could lead to a prison sentence, but also a higher financial penalty.
It may be recalled that Judge Engoron had on October 3 ordered the former president to remove the insulting post against the court clerk on his social platform Truth for insulting the principal law clerk.
According to the former president, the offending post was removed from Truth Social the same day.
However, the judge complained that the post remained on a website created by Trump in connection with the 2024 presidential election campaign for 17 days, in violation of a court order.
