The Islamabad High Court rejected the petition of Chairman PTI against the appointment of a judge to hear the cipher case and the jail trial.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Amir Farooq wrote in a written decision that there is no legal flaw in the appointment of a special court judge under the Official Secrets Act, while the Ministry of Interior should start the prison project of the federal capital Islamabad as soon as possible.
The court confirmed the appointment of Judge Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain as the official secret act special court judge.
