One of the 12 boys rescued from a cave in Thailand in 2018 has died in the UK.
According to British media, Duang Pech Promthep was found unconscious in his hostel on Sunday and was taken to hospital where he died.
Duang Pech Promthep was the captain of the Thai boys’ soccer team, who were trapped in a cave in Chiang Rai province for 9 days. He had spent 9 days in the dark without eating or drinking.
After which they were rescued by expert divers. The news of their rescue made the headlines of the media all over the world.
A mini-series about their rescue was also shown on Netflix last year.
