China Railway Construction Corporation will build Karachi Circular Railway

Karachi: Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (R) Maqbool Baqir has said that China Railway Construction Corporation will build Karachi Circular Railway.

Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir has said that circular railway in Karachi will be built by China Railway Construction Corporation (COCC). C) was held in a meeting between the President of the CRCC, Mr. Lee Sama, and the Vice President, Gunji Ren, at the CRCC headquarters in Beijing.

While giving a briefing in the meeting, CRCC Vice President said that Transport and Mass Transit Department of Sindh Government and our Chinese company CRCC have made feasibility report of Milkar KCR, therefore Chinese authorities will build circular railway in Karachi.

The Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh said that Karachi Circular Railway was included in CPEC in 2016. It was told in the meeting that in 2023, it was decided in the CPEC meeting that the China Railway Authority needs a new feasibility and the Sindh government has given Chinese The firm, in collaboration with CRCC, prepared a feasibility report again, according to which the KCR would cost $2.002 billion. Feasibility study submitted to China Railway Authority by Planning Commission was updated.

During the briefing, it was mentioned that the KCR Sir Kevlar route stretches for about 43 km (27 mi), connecting the diverse landscape of the city of Karachi, including industrial zones, commercial and residential areas.

During the briefing, it was informed that according to the latest feasibility study based on Chinese standards, the cost of the KCR project is 2.002 billion dollars, the Karachi Circular Railway will have 24 stations and will carry 650,000 passengers per day.

Caretaker Chief Minister of Sindh and Vice President of CRCC decided that Sindh government’s CRK route land issues will be resolved.
