The effects of reduction in petrol and dollar rates have started to be seen in Matiari district of Sindh.
According to a local businessman, the price of a 100 kg bag of wheat has been reduced by 2 thousand rupees across the district.
The trader said that a 100 kg sack of wheat, which was sold for Rs 13,000 till a few days ago, is available for Rs 11,000.
On the other hand, despite the decrease in the prices of petroleum products, the prices of food and beverages could not decrease in Lahore.
According to market sources, sugar, pulses, ghee, flour, meat, fruits and vegetables have not become cheaper in Lahore.
Sources say that with the dollar and petrol becoming cheaper, prices should drop by 15 to 20 percent immediately.
In this regard, citizens say that when petrol is expensive, the prices are increased overnight.
