Karachi: The national airline’s flight operations have been disrupted due to the PIA financial crisis and non-receipt of fuel from the PSO, causing thousands of passengers to suffer a severe mental breakdown with anxiety.
Due to disrupted flight operations for several days, local and international flights are getting delayed for several hours while PSO has not yet been able to supply fuel to PIA on time.
According to the sources, PIA flight PK 501 from Karachi to Turbat at 7 am could not depart on time and due to delay in fuel supply, flight to Turbat has been scheduled 6 hours late at 1 pm.
The 7 am PIA flight from Karachi to Islamabad is delayed by 3 and a half hours. Similarly, flight PK 302 from Karachi to Lahore has been scheduled at 12:30 PM with a delay of 4 and a half hours.
The national airline’s flights from Islamabad to Dubai were also delayed for several hours. PIA flights from Islamabad to Gilgit were also delayed for several hours due to non-delivery of fuel on time. Flight PK 849 from Lahore to Jeddah at 7 am was also delayed and scheduled at 12 pm.
Meanwhile, national airline flights at Quetta, Peshawar, Multan, Sialkot airports are also delayed by several hours.
