Karachi: 10 people, including a woman and two girls, were injured as a result of a hand grenade explosion in Lyari Bihar Colony of Shahr Quaid.
SSP City Amjad Hayat said that unknown persons escaped by throwing a hand grenade in street number one of A Road located in Bihar Colony area of Lyari which exploded with a loud explosion.
As a result of the explosion, four women, two girls and a child were injured, who have been shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.
After the incident, a heavy police force has reached the spot from where the evidence was collected. According to DIG South Asad Raza, steps have been taken to find out the reason behind the grenade attack and to identify the accused.
According to police officials, the grenade attack was carried out at the businessman’s house.
According to the statement issued by the spokesperson of the aid organization Chhipa, a woman, a child and a girl were injured in a hand grenade attack near Bihar Colony Yasin Mosque and they have been shifted to the trauma center of Civil Hospital.
The injured were identified as Razia wife of Muhammad Ali age 35 years, Adeel son of Azam Khan age 6 years, Atiqa daughter of Azam Khan age 8 years, Khairullah son of Abdullah age 45 years, Zohaib son of Javed Akhtar age 22 years, Muhammad Faisal son of Fazal Ahmed age 34 years. Year, Ehsan Nabi son of Haji Muhammad Nabi age 35 years and daughter Dilip Kumar age 20 years.
According to the Chippa spokesman, the condition of the injured is out of danger, but one child has been kept in the intensive care ward.
Notice of the Governor of Sindh
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri, taking notice of the hand grenade attack in Lyari’s Bihar Colony and the injuries of civilians, sought the details of the incident from the Commissioner Karachi. Kamran Tesori also directed to provide all possible medical facilities to the injured.
