48 hours deadline of Chief Minister Punjab to ministers and officials to reduce inflation

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi decided to directly convey the benefits of the record reduction in the prices of Trollium products to the people and gave a deadline of 48 hours to the ministers and officials to reduce the prices.

On the special instructions of the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, it has been decided to convey the direct benefit of the record reduction in the prices of petroleum products to the people of Punjab.

Under the chairmanship of Mohsin Naqvi, an important meeting was held in the Chief Minister’s Office during which the Chief Minister gave a deadline of 48 hours to reduce the prices of daily use items and gave a task to reduce the transport fares by 10%.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the transport fares will be reduced in proportion to the reduction in the prices of petroleum products.

The Chief Minister directed the Provincial Transport Minister and the Transport Secretary to hold an immediate meeting with the transporters while the Provincial Industry and Agriculture Minister SM Tanveer Ghi will hold talks with the Flora and Radigar associations.

Similarly, the Secretary Agriculture, Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners have been given the task of reducing the prices of daily commodities. The Chief Secretary will hold a daily meeting with the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners and review the measures regarding price reduction.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered the Price Control Magistrates and Price Control Committees to play an active role in providing relief to the people and said that the indiscriminate crackdown against hoarders should be continued.

He said that the benefit of reduction in the prices of petroleum products will be directly transferred to the people of the province and relief will be given.

The benefit of the historical relief given by the government by reducing the prices of petroleum products must be passed on to the public by reducing the prices and fares of other commodities.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the entire team should work hard day and night to provide relief to the people and pray to God.

Provincial Ministers SM Tanveer, Dr. Javed Akram, Mansoor Qadir, Aamir Mir, Bilal Afzal, Ibrahim Hasan Murad, Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Additional IG Special Branch participated in the meeting.

Secretary Law, Industry, Food, Livestock, Agriculture, Finance, CCPO, Commissioner Lahore Division, Chairman Punjab Price Control, MD Utility Stores Corporation and related officials also participated in the meeting while all Commissioners and RPOs through video link. Attended the meeting.
