Cipher case should be dismissed, Imran Khan asked the court for mercy

Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has filed a writ petition in the Islamabad High Court in the cipher case under Article 248 of the Constitution, in which the case has been requested to be dismissed.

The court issued a notice to the FIA ​​after combining the petitions to stop the trial and the expulsion case of Chairman PTI and asked for a reply by October 16.

Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq has issued a written order on the request of Chairman PTI, according to which the petitioner’s counsel told the court that Section 5 of the Official Secrets Act does not apply to them. Exemption under 248.

Chairman PTI also requested to stop the trial of the cipher case. The court issued a notice to the FIA ​​on the petition, combining the PTI chairman’s expulsion case and the pleas to stay the trial. The hearing on the application to dismiss the case and stop the trial will be held on October 16.
