Karachi: Begum Salma Murad, wife of chocolate hero of Pakistan film industry Waheed Murad passed away.
According to Waheed Murad’s son Adil Murad, his mother Salmi Murad died in Karachi on Friday afternoon and her funeral prayers were offered at the local Defense Mosque.
Arts Council Karachi has also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Salma Murad.
According to President Arts Council Ahmed Shah, Salma Murad was an old member of Arts Council Karachi and used to meet with her in literary fairs.
Ahmed Shah expressed his heartfelt sympathy to Salma Murad and her family and said that he and the governing body of Arts Council Karachi are with them in this hour of sorrow.
